Working in the neuropsychology field for over 18 years has given me the opportunity to work with people who feel overwhelmed, overworked, disorganized, distracted, and dissatisfied with life. I chose to obtain my life coaching certification to empower others to make powerful, lasting, positive changes in their lives. Learning and implementing these life changing strategies in my own life has allowed me to work through blockages, change my thinking, take control of my life, and create an environment of limitless potential. Who wouldn’t want to share this?

Through these life lessons, I have found my true passion, which is the transformation of your mindset and thinking. Over the years I have come to realize the power of your thoughts and how looking at things from a different perspective can allow you to redefine the way you see life. This has been one of the greatest gifts that I have received, as it has freed me from feeling out of control or victimized. When you recognize that the way you interpret situations creates the life you experience and can take responsibility for your own thoughts and actions, you can then learn to transform what you experience and create the life that you want. My goal is to share this with you, so you too can live a happier and more fulfilled life.

ADHD Coaching

An ADHD coach is a life coach specifically trained to help clients with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder better manage their lives. Clients with ADHD have the same needs as any coaching client. However, they also face unique challenges related to ADHD that can interfere with their quality of life. These challenges are related to the executive functions of the brain and can include difficulties with emotional self-regulation, cognitive and physical hyperactivity, impulsivity, distraction, focus, decision-making, time management, and short-term working memory. It may also include self-doubt and the belief that they can’t attain their goals because they have ADHD. ADHD coaches support their clients by developing a comprehensive understanding of both the nature of their ADHD and its impact on their quality of life. As your ADHD coach, my goal is to help pinpoint and educate you as to how your specific type of ADHD affects different situations in your life. We will then use your strengths to develop a variety of customized strategies to deepen your self-awareness and problem solve issues as they occur, so that you will reach your goals and create a fuller and more satisfying life.

ADHD Parent Coaching

ADHD causes kids to be more inattentive, hyperactive, and impulsive than is normal for their age, and makes it harder for them to develop the skills that control attention, behavior, emotions, and activity. As a result, they often act in ways that are hard for parents to manage and can leave parents feeling stressed, frustrated, and disrespected. Parents may feel embarrassed about what others think of their child's behavior. They may wonder if they did something to cause it. But for kids with ADHD, the skills that control attention, behavior, and activity don't come naturally. Parenting is as important as any other part of ADHD treatment. The way parents respond can make ADHD better or worse. As a parent coach, I can educate you about how the specific type of ADHD your child has affects them, and which parenting approaches work best. We will develop tailored strategies, specific to your child and your family dynamic, that will allow you to become an empowered parent who is equipped to handle the challenges of raising a child with ADHD.

Life Skills Coaching

Life skills coaching is an avenue for acquiring the essential skills, mentorship, and encouragement to transform positive behaviors into positive habits. Life skills are problem-solving behaviors that improve self awareness, create healthy lifestyles, and provide the foundation to create positive connections for personal, academic, and career goals. A life skills coach helps to modify behavior, adjust lifestyles, and teach the skills necessary to achieve success and independence based on the client’s goals. This coaching approach identifies the unique goals and solutions-focused strategies that will help emerging adults build the confidence and courage needed to make positive decisions on their own. Life skills coaching is the solution for anyone who feels like they lack the knowledge and skills to achieve their goals.
